I’m Fengyang Ma. I am a visiting assistant professor in the Literacy and Second Language Studies program in School of Education at University of Cincinnati.

My research interests center on the Psycholinguistic investigation of bilingualism. I am particularly interested in examining different aspects of bilingual lexical processing with both behavioral and ERP methods. Specifically, I study

  1. Meaning retrieval of L2 words as a function of proficiency,
  2. Parallel activation of both languages during L2 word recognition, and
  3. Inhibitory control mechanisms during bilingual word production.
